Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has been in the news because of the black poaching case, as the Bishnoi gang has targeted him. Now, the Dabbang has received another fresh death threat, as the Mumbai police stated on Tuesday (November 5).
Salman Khan receives fresh death threat from Bishnoi gang member
The man who threatened the actor asked for an apology at the Bishnoi community temple and demanded Rs 5 crore. Around midnight, an officer read the threat message that had been received on the Mumbai traffic police helpline, according to the official.
As per the police, the man who sent the message was the brother of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. The message stated, “If Salman Khan wants to stay alive, he should go to our (Bishnoi community) temple and apologise or pay Rs 5 crore. If he does not do so, we will kill him; our gang is still active.”
According to sources, police are investigating the source of the threat letter and have strengthened Salman Khan’s protection. They also suspect that the messages are in connection to Lawrence Bishnoi, who is now incarcerated on several counts, including extortion and attempted murder.
The incident comes after the arrest of 56-year-old Bandra resident Azam Mohammad Mustafa, who was recently arrested for sending Salman Khan a threatening SMS. Earlier, the Worli police registered a case for an anonymous death threat later demanding Rs 2 crore. Following the case, the authorities had taken a 24-year-old individual into custody. This threat was initially received through the traffic police’s helpline.
Since the murder of NCP politician Baba Siddique in Bandra, Mumbai, security has increased around Salman as he continues to fulfil his professional obligations with the filming of Sikander and the Bigg Boss 18 reality show.
